Jason Carroll Holloway Launches Masters X

KANSAS CITY, MO. Author Jason Carroll Holloway and his independent imprint Seventh City Press have released the second edition of Masters X, a three-volume work of literary conspiracy fiction. The novel (The Inheritance of Frequency, The Grimoire, and The Kingdom) is available now as one ebook, Masters X: The Complete Novel, on Kindle ($9.99). Each volume and the Complete Novel are on sale in second-edition paperback and hardcover through IngramSpark.
The story begins beneath Kansas City. Blake Masters, a graduate student fired from his security job at SubTropolis, inherits a safety deposit box his grandfather paid for forty-four years in advance, timed to arrive at the moment Blake would be ready for it. Inside: seven notebooks, twenty years of his grandfather’s secret research, and a cross-reference to a sealed crypt beneath Prague. The novel is the account of what Blake does with that knowledge, and what it does to him.
The series braids documented history into fiction: the undeciphered Voynich Manuscript and the medieval Ars Notoria; the science of archaeoacoustics and a 111.2 Hz frequency that recurs in caves and cathedrals across four continents; and the real, subterranean geography of Kansas City, from the SubTropolis cavern complex upward. Every location in the novels can be visited, looked up, or found in a scholarly bibliography, and much of the underlying data is published openly through the Analysis Chamber, a research archive on the author site that runs the same measurements the characters run in the books.
